Lady looks lovely at 12s

Batchworth Lady has been in good form this season and looks overpriced at 12/1 in the 4.50 at Wolverhampton today.

Dean Ivory’s filly has won three times, with her last success coming over 6f at Kempton three starts back where she held on gamely to beat Sakhee’s Rose by a nose off a mark of 63.

She was then not at her best when well beaten on the turf at Leicester, but quickly bounced back to form with a solid fourth of 12 to Jay Bee Blue at Kempton last time out.

The three-year-old raced close up that day and stayedf on inside the last to be beaten 4 3/4 lengths off a mark of 66 and the form has a pretty solid look to it.

The winner has gone on to score again off 77, while the runner-up Emkanaat has since bolted up by 3 1/2 lengths off 70 and finished a solid 3/4 length third off 76.

That suggests that the selection, who has since been dropped 1lb by the assessor to a mark of 65, should be competitive in this given that she is just 2lb higher than when last successful.

She also goes extremely well for Jimmy Quinn who has partnered her to all her successes, and looks to have a good draw in stall 2 for one that likes to race handily.

At the 12s on offer she makes plenty of each-way appeal.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Batchworth Lady (12/1 Sky Bet – BOG)
