Lammturner makes plenty of appeal at Market Rasen

Having shaped well last time out, Lammturner looks worth siding with at 11/2 in the 2.50 at Market Rasen today.

That spin came on seasonal reappearance over 2m 7f at Newcastle where the Joanne Foster trained seven-year-old finished a keeping on 2 1/2 length fourth of 10 to Mr Love.

The winner is a thriving sort who was well-in under a penalty and has since gone on to land the hat-trick at Southwell when bolting up by 18 lengths off 7lb higher (105).

That gives the formm a dcenet look and Lammturner is able to race in this same grade class 5 affair off an unchanged mark of 81.

That is just 5lb higher than when opening his account at Sedgefield back in March and Lammturner is entitled to strip fitter for that outing – his first in 190 days.

This contest also lacks any real strength in depth and the yard have had two winners nd two placed from 11 runners at the venue in the last 12 months.

Although Lammturner may well be ideally suied by further, he proved last time out that he was capable of mixing it over this trip.

Jockey Henry Brooke, who ride him to victory at Sedgeield and was in the plate last time out, also has a decent record when teaming up with the yard.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Lammturner (11/2 bet365 – BOG)
