Laurence ran a cracker when runner-up last time out and makes plenty of appeal at 8/1 in the Silver Cambridgeshire at Newmarket today (5.55).
Luca Cumani’s charge is a course winner and shaped as if his time was near when chasing home Khairaat at Doncaster 14 days ago.
The four-year-old stuck to the task well to be beaten just a length and the winner, to whom he was conceding 7lb, is an unexposed and thriving three-year-old who looked way ahead of his mark.
In the circucmstances it was a terrific effort and although now 3lb higher in the weights the selection remains well-treated on the pick of his form.
His revised rating of 88 is just 3lb hugher than when last successful and he looks the type who should be suited by a big field and strong pace to aim at.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Laurence (8/1 bet365, Sky Bet, William Hill – BOG)
