Limit Up looks lovely at 10s

The combination of a drop in class and a return to the all-weather surface make Limit Up look worth an inetest at 10/1 in the 9.00 at Kempton.

Mark Johnston’s gelding ran some really solid races prior to opening his account at the sixth time of asking at Lingfield in good style.

He made all that day and only had to be pushed out to beat Mysterial by 2 3/4 lengths and the runner-up had some decent form to his name in maidens and weny on to score next time up.

The selection looked sure to win plenty more races judged on that effort, but has since been soundly beaten in two starts in much better company on the turf.

He showed good speed before weakening badly to finish last in the valuable class 2 Tattersalls Millions Sprint at Newmarket and then lost all chance at the starts when fly leaping coming out of the stalls at the same venue last time out when 11th of 13 to Secretinthepark in a class 2 handicap off a mark of 80.

The son of Shamardal now takes a marked drop in grade to class 4 company and gets into this off the same mark.

He also has the services of the talented Michael J Muprhy in the saddle who takes another 5lb off his back and it would be no surprise to see him bounce back now returned to the ploytrack surface from what looks a very workable mark judged on his Lingfield success.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Limit Up (10/1 BetfredBOG)
