8/1 Lily can put rivals in the shade
Night Lily is a useful sort at her best and looks value at 8/1 to bounce back and land the 1.50 at Lingfield today.
Paul Darcy’s mare disappointed two starts ago in a listed race at this track over a trip which was too far for here and then didn’t have the race run to suit when fifth at Wolverhampton last time out.
She is far better judged on her effort prior to those runs when beaten just a nose by Clinical in a listed contest at Dundalk.
She came with a storming late run and only just failed back the winner who had got first run, and had some useful types in behind.
The form of the race looks strong in the context of this contest, and a reproduction would make her the one they all have to beat.
Other pluses are that she should get the strong pace that she needs to be seen at her best and she has a good draw in stall 2 from where she should be able to tuck in behind the leaders and hopefully be produced late to land the spoils.

Picansort worth a punt at 8s
Picansort has dropped to a handy mark and makes plenty of appeal at 7/1 to take advantage in the finale at Lingfield (3.30).
The gelding scored twice on the polytrack surface when trained by Brett Johnson, and is now 4lb lower than his last win.
That gives him a tremendous chance from a handicapping perspective of making a winning debut for his new handler Peter Crate .
He also didn’t shape to badly when last seen in action back in August when a close up fifth of 10 to Desert Strike at Windsor, and if the change of scenery has freshened him up then he is undoubtedly very nicely treated.
The four-year-old also has plenty of tactical speed and a good draw to exploit in gate 3, and everything looks in place for a huge run.
At 8/1 he looks an each-way steal.
