Liverpool set to give Sunderland a spanking

Liverpool are long odds-on to beat Sunderland at Anfield tonight (8pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 1) and in a game which they should win by a wide margin, over 3.5 goals looks the best bet at the even money on offer with Sky Bet.

The Reds have won 12 of their 14 Premier League games at Anfield with an average of three goals per game.

They’ve not lost in the league this year and arrive here on a six-match winning run which has seen them score 24 goals.

That’s an evrage of four per game, and they now face a side who have lost their last four matches onm the road and conceded 12 in the process.

Brendan Rodger’s men should have little difficulty ripping apart the Black Cats, and in Suarez and Sturride have two strikers in red-hot form.

The former has seven times in six appearances against Sunderland, and that includes a brace on the last two occasions.

The latter has bagged 10 goals in 10 league appearances at Anfield this season, and it therefore no suprise to see the SAS partnership dominate the goalscorer markets in this.

Sturridge is a top priced 4/6 with Stan James to net anytime, and given his record on home soil that looks a better bet than backing Liverpool in the outright market at 2/11.

I fancy Liverpool to run riot, and a small wager on them winning 5-0 makes plenty of appeal at the general 16/1 on offer.
