Magical Speedfit had dropped to a mark he can exploit and looks an each-way steal at 6/1 in the 5.00 at Brighton.
The six-year-old reserves his best for this track, and has scored four times over course and distance including when winning this contest back in 2009.
He was not at his best when last seen at Folkestone back in August but had previously signalled that his time was near when a close up third to Straboe at that track.
That run came off today’s mark of 73, and George Margason’s gelding is now 1lb below his last winning mark.
He has also run well after a lay-off in the past and looks to have been freshened up with this as his target.
Given his course record, and the fact that he is weighted to take all the beating, it’s hard to see him not being in the frame at the very least.
In my book he is the one they all have to beat, and at the 6s on offer looks the best bet at the seaside track.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Magical Speedfit (6/1 generaly available – BOG firms)
