League leaders Chelsea look far too short as 4/9 to beat Newcastle at Stamford Bridge today (5.30pm KO, Live on ESPN), and the Magpies look terrific value at 5/1 with BetVictor in the draw/no bet market.

The Blues made it two out of two when beating Reading 4-2 in midweek, where they were impressive going forward but their defending looked very slack at times.

They will certainly have to be tighter at the back in this clash as Newcastle have only failed to score in two of their last 17 Premier League away games.

They ground out a hard fought win over Spurs last weekend, and Alan Pardew’s men can never be underestimated.

Newcastle had gone 18 league games without a win at Stamford Bridge until they beat the Blues 2-0 in May 2012, but they are now a really decent outfit who always seem to be severely underestimated by the bookies.

They have two terrific strikers in the shape of Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba, and that pair are likely to cause the Chelsea back-line all sorts of problems judged on what I saw in the Reading game

This is going to a real battle from the first whistle, and i think that Newcastle have every chance of coming away with at least a point.

The draw is a 7/2 chance and that does make some appeal, but given that Newcastle could well sneak it and are a to priced 7/1 to do so the 5s on offer with BetVictor in the draw/no bet market has to be the play.
