Marju’s Quest looks worth another chance at 10/1 to cash-in on his plummeting mark in the 3.55 at Market Rasen today.
David Dennis’ charge was in terrific form last season when winning four handicaps, with the last of those successes coming off a mark of 120.
He went on to land a seller at Worcester by 8 lengths off an official rating of 125, and was also far from disgraced when finishing in the frame on his final two starts of the campaign last September.
Marju’s Quest is now able to race off just 112 and that gives him major claims at the weights on the pick of his form.
Altough not at his best last time out at Kempton when let down by his jumping Marju’s Quest had previously shaped better than the bare result suggests at Ludlow when 8th od 11 to King Muro after a 188 day break, travelling strongly at the head of affairs until being headed three out and weakening to come home in his own time.
He also now gets the services of Aidan Coleman whose last two rides on him have seen him make the frame, including off 15lb higher in a class 3 handicap hurdle at Taunton.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Marju’s Quest (10/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
