Betfair have installed JP McManus and Rich Ricci as their joint 7-4 favourite’s to have the most winners as an owner at this year’s Cheltenham Festival.

McManus, National Hunt racing’s biggest owner, has annually assembled a strong team of contenders for the Cheltenham Festival and looks set for another profitable four days, with live chances including My Tent Or Yours in the Champion Hurdle and More Of That and At Fishers Cross in the World Hurdle.

Rich Ricci will be relying on the talents of Willie Mullins to have his horses in their best shape come March and at the minute looks to have a wealth of talent heading for the festival including the unbeaten Annie Power, Champagne Fever, Ballycasey and Faugheen.

Graham Wylie is currently the next best owner in the market at 5-1 while Gigginstown House Stud are a 6-1 chance.

Betfair Spokesman Barry Orr said today: “JP has multiple darts to throw in Cheltenham while Rich Ricci has some key chances, although you can’t help but feel his dependency on Willies horses running well will swing the balance in JP’s favour.”
