Memory Cloth weighted to strike at Ripon

Memory Cloth has slipped back down to his last winning mark and looks worth siding with at 9/2 to take advantage and land the spoils in the 3.25 at Ripon today.

Brian Ellison’s gelding was in terrific form in the earlier part of last season when rattling up a hat-trick, with the last of those successes coming over today’s 1m 2f trip at Haydock off a mark of 77.

He went on to finish an excellent runner-up at Newcastle off 81, and a solid fourth at Carlisle off 82.

The eight-year-old also shaped well on seasonal reappearance when fourth of 13 to Mica Mika at Newcastle off 79, and is now able to race in this off 77 having also not shaped too badly last ttime out when fifth of 10 to Final Countdown at Haydock.

That gives him every chance at the weights, and Memory Cloth is versatile as regarsd going and won’t mind any rain.

He should also now be spot on to do himself justice on his third start of the campaign, and everything points to a huge run.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Memory Cloth (9/2 generally available – use BOG firms)
