Mic’s Delight worth another chance to cash-in on lenient mark

Mic’s Delight is dangerously well-treated at present and looks worth one last chance at  11/2  to take advantage in the 4.10 at Exeter today.

Victor Dartnall’s gelding is on a long losing run, having not won since scoring twice in 2012.

The last of those wins came in a novice chase at Market Rasen off an official rating of 135, where he kept on well to beat Maringo Bay by a length.

He was then far from disgracd when finishing 11th of 20 to Hunt Ball at the Cheltenham Festival off a handicap mark of 135, and now gets into this off a career-low chase mark of 114.

That gives him outstanding claims at the weights, and he comes into the conrest having been placed in four of his last five starts.

He has looked far from straightforward on a number of those occasions, often travelling strongly before not finding as much as expected when push comes to shove.

However, this looks a very winnable contest on the pick of his form and his two runs at this track have resulted in a win (over hurdles) and a second place over fences.

The return to this venue may well suit, and  if putting his best foot forward there is little doubt that he is weighted to go in again.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Mic’s Delight (11/2 BetVictor, Boylesports, Coral, Hills – BOG)
