Miss a Blink-ing good bet at 12/1

Miss Blink is on a handy mark in the 3.30 at Ayr today if bouncing back to her best and looks worth a wager at 12/1 to do so.

Robin Bastiman’s  mare last scored when winning  class 5 1m 2f contest on good-to-form ground at Redcar in September 2011 where she only had to be driven out to beat Tartan Gunna by 3/4 of a length off 70.

She subsequently drew a blank last year, but she did run some solid races to be fourth over today’s course and distance off 74 in a class 4 contest and third to Spirit Of Law at Yarmouth in a similar grade affair off a rating of 71.

The six-year-old also wasn’t disgraced when fourth of 12 to Boa on the all-weather at Wolverhampton in November off 68.

She hasn’t been at her best in two starts this season, but didn’t run too badly last time out and should now be spot on to do herself justice.

The handicapper has also cut her some more slack by dropping her a further 2lb to a mark of just 60, and that makes her dangerously well-treated on the pick of her form in this class 6 contest.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Miss Blink (12/1 BetVictor, Hills – BOG)
