Miss a Blink-ing good bet

Miss Blink is on a handy mark in the 5.20 at Yarmouth today and makes plenty of appeal at 7/1.

Robin Batsiman’s  mare is a course and distance winner and now 8lb below her last success.

That came in a class 5 1m 2f contest on good-to-form ground at Redcar in September 2011 where she only had to be driven out to beat Tartan Gunna by 3/4 of a length off 80.

She subsequently drew a blank last year, but she did run some solid races to be fourth at Ayr off 74 and third to Spirit Of Law over course and distance off a rating of 71.

The six-year-old also wasn’t disgraced when fourth of 12 to Boa on the all-weather at Wolverhampton in November, and looks sure to strip much fitter for her recent spin at Redcar.

That was her first run for 124 days, and she chased the leaders until weakening badly over a furlong out and quickly being eased to finish a well beaten 8th of 9 to Good Speech.

The handicapper has been quick to drop her another 2lbs to a mark of just 62, and that should enable her to be competitive once again.

She also has a positive profile on her second start back after a break, and with Conor Harrison in the saddle looks to have everything in her favour to get back on the winning trail in this class 6 contest.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Miss Blink (7/1 Betfred, BetVictor, Boylesports – BOG, 888sport)
