Mud-loving American Life weighted to strike

American Life has slipped to a dangerous mark and with underfoot conidtions in his favour looks worth a wager at 10/1 in the 3.45 at Uttoxeter today.

Sophie Leech’s charge has faild to cut any ice in four starts this season no good ground but it was a similar story in 2014 and 2015 until he got the testing conditions that he relishes and won.

In his last success over hurdles on heavy ground at Haydock he sluiced up by 13 lengths to land a gamble off a mark of 104.

The nine-year-old went on to be placed on several occasions off marks as high as 112 and having started off the camoaign on 110 is now able to run off a reduced rating of just 100.

That is his lowest in two years and makes American Life dangerously well-treated on the pick of his form now that the ground has come in his favour.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way American Life (10/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
