Mud-loving Moheebb of major interest

The mud-loving Moheebb will relish the conditions in the 4.15 at York and looks cracking each-way value at 11/1.

Ruth Carr’s gelding is not the easiest to win with, but he comes into his own in soft conditions and is now very well handicapped.

The eight-year-old last scored off a mark of 78 last July and now races  off 5lb lower.

That gives him a tremendous chance from a handicapping perspective, and he has been running well enough of late to suggest he is ready to take advantage.

He finished a very good third to Memory Cloth in a decent contest at Ripon four starts ago off a rating of 76, and ran a very solid race last time out at Carlisle when fifth of 10 to Oratory  on good-to-firm ground which was totally against him.

With the rains having hit the Knavesmire hard he now has the conditions that he has been crying out for, and it will be a major surprise if he is not in the thick of the action at the business end of affairs.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Moheebb (11/1 BetVictor – BOG)
