Mud-loving Switcher worth an each-way wager at 16s

Switcher has prioven form to her name on soft ground and looks worth an each-way wager at 16/1 in the 2.10 at Doncaster today after shaping well on her debut for Richard Fahey last time out.

The filly won well on her juvenile debut at Haydock in 2011 when trained by Tom Dascombe, and went on to finish a fine fourth of 13 to subsequent irish 1000 Guineas winner Samitar at Ascot and a solid third to Elusive Kate at Deauville.

She also ran really well to finish runner up in two listed events last season on soft ground behind Radio Gaga at Warwick and Intense Pink at Ascot.

It’s fair to say that her form then tailed off, and she didn’t really fitre in her first three runs this season after joining David O’Meara.

However she didn’t run too badly on the first two of those and having moved to Richard Fahey put in a much improved display last time out when third of 6 to Sirius Prospect in a 7f lsited contest at York on soft ground.

The daughter of Whipper raced with far more zest that day and kept on to be beaten 2 lengths.

It wsa an effort which suggested that she was on her way back, and if she can build on that she wouldn’t be without a chance in what looks a  weak Group 3 contest.

One thing in her favour is that unlike many of her rivals she will not be incovenienced by the soft ground conditions, and at the odds on offer she looks overpriced and well worth an each-way interest.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Switcher (16/1 bet365, Betfred, Boylesports ,Stan James – BOG)
