Mysteree looks to have plenty going for him in the rearranged running of the Coral Welsh Grand National at Chepstow on Saturday (14.10).
The nine-year-old and is two from four since joining trainer Michael Scudamore and progressed throughout last season.
After beating Chase The Spud by 3 1/2 lengths on reappearance at Haydock he went on to capture the Eider Chase at Newcastle in terrfiic style when travelling well throughout before staying on strongly to beat Knockanrawley by 4 lengths.
Mysteree went on to round off the campaign with a cracking second in the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter when collared close home and beaten 1 1/2 lengths by Chase The Spud after being briefly denied a clear run three form home.
It was an effort which suggested there could be even better to come and he is set to meet the winner on 13lb better terms.
That gives him a huge chance of gaining his revenge on that rival and the testing conditions is going to make this 3m 5f contest a slog which will play to his strengths.
He also has a tremendous record fresh having has won first time out in the last three seasons and goes extremely well for Robbie Dunne.
Scudamore also knows what it takes to win the race having saddled Monbeg Dude to victory in the 2012/13 season and Mysteree lools to have the perfect profile for the prestigious staying prize.
