Mytara a Huntingdon hottie

Mytara has shown enough ability to suggest she is more than capable of scoring from her current mark and makes plenty of appeal at 6/1 in the finale at Huntingdon (5.00).

Clice Drew’s mare disappointed slightly on her handicap debut last time out at Leicester when only 5th of 11 to Painter Man but the ground was atrocious that day and she weakened badly after racing on arguably the worst of it.

The seven-year-old id definitely capable of much better judged on her runs in maiden hurdles, and today’s better ground will definitely suit.

She caught the eye in her first two spins over the obstacles when 7th of 18 to A Bridge Too Far and 6th of 14 to Risaala in a couple of decent contest at the beginning off last year, and after a lengthy spell on the sidelines ran very well on her comeback at Wetherby in November when fifth of 15 to Hazy Tom.

Although eventually beaten 27 lengths, she ran much better than her finishing position suggests and was not knocked about in what was a hot race.

The winner is held in very high regard, and the runner-up Sea Of Thunder is one of the leading Irish contenders for the Albert Bartlett and next month’s Cheltenham Festival.

That makes the form look solid in the context off this contest, and makes the selection look nicely treated off a mark of 98 in this Class 5 contest.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Mytara (6/1 bet365 – BOG)
