7/1 Miblish looks the one in the million

Miblish looked a really exciting prospect when scoring on his debut and at 7/1 looks terrific value in the valuable Tattersalls Millions trophy at Newmarket (3.00).

Clive Brittain’s colt was heavily backed into 2/1 favourite to live up to his tall home reputation at Newbury two weeks ago, and duly delivered the goods when beating Kaafel by a neck.

He travelled really powerfully throughout the contest, and despite showing distinct signs of inexperience quickened up nicely to score with more in hand than the winning margin suggests.

The son of Teofilo will definitely come on a bundle for that run, and although this represents a significant step up in class it would be no surprise to see him turn out to be well above average and up to the task.

The fact that he holds entries in the Group 1 Dewhurst and Racing Post Trophy shows how highly he is held in regard by connections, and I am told that he has improved significantly since Newbury and been doing all that has been asked of him at home.

The best price on offer is now 7/1, and with bet365 offering 1/4 odds 1,2,3 he looks a great each-way play at those odds with the Stoke firm.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Miblish (7/1 bet365 – BOG, 1/4 odds 1,2,3)

Jump in for Jameel

Jameel looks potentially thrown-in on his handicap debut in the 3.35 at Newmarket and is of major interest at 100/30.

Saeed Bin Suroor’s colt showed progressive form in maidens before coming good at the third time of asking last time out at Pontefract and remains open to bags more improvement.

He only had to be nudged out to beat Figaro by a head that day having been eased down heavily 100 yards from home, and scored with far more up his sleeve than the winning margin suggests
.
The pair finished six lengths clear of the third home, and the handicapper certainly looks to have taken a chance in allotting him an opening mark of 86.

To me he looks potentially much better than that, and the step up in trip to 1m 4f this afternoon looks sure to bring about further improvement.

The son of Monsun is clearly one to keep on the right side, and against a field full of exposed rivals is impossible to oppose.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 5pts win Jameel (100/30 Stan James)
