In Denmark last night local WBC intercontinental middleweight champion Patrick Nielsen beat Patrick Mendy on points 117-110, 117-110 and 117-111, which included Nielsen dropping Mendy a former Prizefighter winner in the 5th.
Nielsen who is now 18-0 said after the fight “I am happy with my performance, this is a good way to start the new year.”
His promoter Nisse Sauerland added “We knew that Mendy would start out strongly but that Patrick would eventually outbox him. This was a good win for him.”
On the undercard was Sauerland’s newest signing Brit Deion Jumah who had his second pro fight in 7 days and winning both by beating Igor Pylypenko.
