The in-form Ruth Carr saddles On The High Tops in the 5.10 at Ripon and he looks good value at 7/1 to take advantage of a lenient handicap mark.
The gelding has generally been disappointing since landing a handciap at Thirsk last April, but shaped as if his time was near again when fifth of 10 to Nomoreblondes on his reappearance earlir this month.
The four-year-old showed plenty of zest to chase the winner and kept on well at the one pace when coming under pressure a furlong from home to be beaten 4 3/4 lengths.
He is sure to come on for the run, and with his stable now really hitting top gear is weighted to win again.
His win at Thirk came off a mark of 76, and he is now running off a career low of 67 having been rated as high as 85.
That gives him a tremednous chnace from a handicapping perspective, and another plus is that his handler has a 22% strike rate with runners at the track in the past 12 months.
With conditions fine everything looks in place for a huge run and at the odds on offer he makes plenty of each-way appeal.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way On The High Tops (7/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
