Opt Out is back down below his last winning mark and looks worth a wager at 100/30 in the 3.00 at Musselburgh today following an eye-catching effort last time out.

The gelding scored three times last year over course and distance, including when winning this contest off a mark of 57.

He went on to round off the campaign with a victury at the track off 60 and is having started this season with a solid third off 63 is now able to race off a reduced rating of 58.

That gives him major claims at the weights and Opt Out comes into the race on the back of a promising debut for David O’Meara when staying on to finish fifth of 14 over 1m at Redcar under an inexperienced rider.

With Danny Tudhope now taking over in the saddle the six-year-old looks primed to defend his crown and weighted to get back to winning ways.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Opt Out (100/30 BetVictor, Stan James, Sky Bet, William Hill – BOG)
