Course and distance winner Our Folly makes plenty of appeal at 14/1 now returned to the turf in the 2.40 at Bath today.
Stuart Kittow’s gelding wasn’t at his best last time out on the all-weather at Lingfield but prior to that effort had been in good form.
The five-year-old made a winning reappearance over today’s trip at this venue when staying on strongly to beat Fuzzy Logic by a neck off a mark of 55 and then improved again to land a 2m contest at Goodwood off 68 when beating Prior’s Gold by a neck.
He then put in a solid effort when chasing home Riptide at Pontefract off 72, before finishing runner-up to Sula Two at Newbury off 74.
The son of Sakhee now gets into this conrest off the same mark, and he should be able to be competitive off it judged on those efforts.
It is also interesting that he is now reunited with Michael J Murphy who partnered him to both of his successes this season and was also onboard when he finished second to Riptide.
He has clearly built up a good understanding with the horse, and it would be no suprise to see Our Folly bounce back now that he is back in the saddle.
Another plus is that the selection handles all types of ground and will not be incovenienced by any rain which is forecast to move in at around midday.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Our Folly (14/1 Stan James – BOG)
