Pleasure Bent worth a punt at 13/2

Luca Cumani does well with his runners at Yarmouth and Pleasure Bent looks decent value at 13/2 to provide him with another winner at the venue in the 3.15 there today.

The colt was a progressive sort last sseason, winning his maiden at Warwick over a mile before following-up on handicap debut at Newbury off an opening mark of 72.

The son of Dansili went on to run some solid races to be plaecd in better grade affairs, including when third of 14 to Cornrow at Kempton and fourth of 12 to cayuga in a class 4 contest at the same venue off 80.

Although he has not been in the same form in three starts this season, Pleasure Bent did run well on his penultimate star at Kempton when third of 10 to the well-treated Lawman’s Thunder at Kempton off 80 and ran far too free in blinkers last time out when seventh of 10 to Unison at Windsor.

The handicapper has since dropped him another 1lb to 78, and that makes Pleasure Bent look on a workable mark on the pick of his form.

Connections have aslo now dispensed with the headgear worn last time out, and with the like of Jonnie Skull and Speciality in the line-up there should be a good pace which will hopefully enable him to settle and be produced with a late run.

Other pluses are that the Cumani stable is in good form at present, and the Newmarket handler has a strike rate of just over 28.5% with his runners at the venue in the last 12 months (4 wins and 5 placed from 14 runners).

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Pleasure Bent (13/2 William Hill – BOG)
