Stoke have a good record at home to Liverpool and look worth a punt at 13/5 with BetVictor and Coral to further enhance it with victory in today’s clash at the Britannia Stadium (4pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 1).
Liverpool have only won one of seven Premier League games at the Britannia (D2,L4), winning 5-3 in 2013/14.
They were also given a 6-1 mauling by the Potters on the final day of last season, and despite having made several signings in the summer I am not convinced that Brendan Rogers’ men should be as short as 6/5 to win this fixture.
Stoke s did tremendously well under mark Hughes to finish ninth last season and are a very hard team to beat on their own patch.
Their physical style of play will give the Reds plenty to think about, and they have scored in each of their last 11 home fixtures.
To me they should not be as big as 13/5 taking all things into consideration, especially against a side that can blow very hot and cold and often fail to turn up to the gig when expected to produce the goods by the layers.
