Precious Angel shaped really well when runner-up on handicap debut and at 7/1 rates the best bet on today’s card at Sandown (5.00).
Richard Hannon’s filly has improved in each of her four runs and there was lots to like about the way she stayed on strongly to finish a 3 3/4 length second to Mudallel over 1m at Kempton last month after dewlling at the start.
The winner, from whom she was receiving just 1lb, has gone on to score again since off 78 and the third home ran well to finish runner-up next time out.
Iftitah, who finsihed sixth and four lengths behind the selection, also scored next time up off 62.
That gives the form a solid look and suggests that Precious Angel is potentially ahead of the assessor off an unchanged mark of 69.
The step back up to 1m 2f also promises to suit given how she finsihed off the race and in receipt of weight from all her rivals a massive run looks on the cards.
