York Hall on July 6 sees the latest contestants in the highly successful PRIZEFIGHTER tournament take to the ring and this time its light-welterweights III and the SOLD OUT bill is headlined by Kevin Mitchell’s comeback home coming, where he aims to get back in the running for another world title shot after his defeat to WBO lightweight champ Ricky Burns last September. Mitchell will face a yet to be named opponent in a 10 rounder.
The PRIZEFIGHTER line up has now been announced and their are some interesting possible re-matches in there too with contestants Ryan Taylor and Liam Shinkwin who met in March this year at Wembley when Shinkwin took the Southern Area title plus Danny Connor and Chris Evangelou who’ve met twice already and Connor has won both fights to date. Also in the mix are Tony Owen, Matty Tew, Erin Arif and Charlie Rice.
This is shaping up to be an interesting nights boxing with some good contenders in there ready to battle iot out for the 32 grand prize money.
