Following his easy win at Ascot today, Boylesports have cut Puffin Billy into 12/1 (from 16/1) for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
Leon Blanche, Head of Communications at Boylesports, commented: “Trainer Oliver Sherwood has billed this horse as the best he has had since Large Action, his top-class hurdler of the 1990s who won three times at Grade 1 level, which is praise indeed. This horse just keeps getting better and has a bright future.”
StanJames.com were even more impressed and make him 10/1 co-favourite for the Supreme.
The firm’s Rory Jiwani said, “That was most impressive with Barry Geraghty barely moving a muscle on board Oliver Sherwood’s exciting four-year-old. We cut Puffin Billy from 16/1 to 10/1 co-favourite for the Supreme along with Jezki and My Tent Or Yours. While he’s barely been extended over hurdles, he clearly has a huge engine and he will be a danger to all at Cheltenham.
