Even with all the controversy surrounding the already reinstated England Captain and his alleged recent conduct, the latest odds from William Hill suggests that John Terry will be wearing the Captain’s armband when England lineup for the first Euro group match next summer. Rio Ferdinand is the 4/1 joint second favourite with Steven Gerrard and Lampard is 11/1.
“John Terry should be called ‘Teflon Terry’ and at this stage we fully expect him to be England Captain at next year’s tournament,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
