QPR have got fresh impetus from the arrival of Premier League quality additions to a squad that wasn’t looking strong enough to survive in the top tier.
This afternoon they are priced up as short as 11/10 to beat a well established Premier side Aston Villa. The price is based on a convincing away win against Wolves and a home performance when they were unlucky not to take all three points against Newcastle. Prior to these two games QPR lost 2-0 to Wigan.
Villa are unbeaten in the league, drawing four and beating Blackburn. Under McLeish they are proving to be a tough side to beat although they lack penetration without Bent, who is likely to be out again today. Heskey is also unlikely to return.
There is plenty of pace in the Villa front line and they are more than capable of a smash and grab raid at Loftus Road this afternoon. 3/1 is a tremendous piece of value and if Mc Leish sticks to his normal rule of engagement then Draw/Villa could be the double result option.
