Qulinton is potenially well-treated back over hurdles in the 3.15 at Cheltenham today and makes plenty of each-way appeal at 18/1.

The gelding has not won since 2011, with his last success coming in a class 1 listed handicap chase at Market Rasen off a mark of 135 when trained by David Pipe.

He went on to run in the Galway Plate after that off a mark of 146 and then ran off 147 in another listed handicap chase at Market Rasen.

The nine-year-old now gets into this off just 121 having hinted at a revival over the smaller obstacles this for his former handler.

Those runs included a decent third to Saint Roque at Worcester off 120 and a 3/4 length second of 7 to American Legend at Newton Abbot off 119.

He also shaped really well on his first start for his new trainer Johnny Farrelly over fences at Newton Abbot last month off a mark of 130 where he raced with plenty of his old zest at the yead of affairs and was just a length down when falling at the last when looking held.

That effort suggested that his enthusiasm may well have bee rekindled, and if it has then he looks handily weighted in this at the foot of the weights off 9lb lower.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Qulinton (18/1 BetVictor – BOG)
