Red Baron ready to rock at Thirsk

Red Baron returned to form last time out and looks the asnwer to the 5f handicap on today’s card at Thirsk (4.00).

Eric Alston’s gelding enjoyed a terrific time in the first half of last saeson when winning four times, inlcuding this race.

He also ran ran very well when beaten just a head in a 20-runner affair at York, and posted a solid effort to finish runner-up to Danzeno off level weights in a conditions’ contest at Musselburgh off his current rating of 100.

The winner is now rated 113 and finished a fine third in a Group 2 at York earlier in the week, and that suggests Red Baron should be up to winning races off his current rating

Red Baron also comes into the contest on the back of a much improved run on his third start of thecampaign when a 2 3/4 length fourth of 17 to Duke Of Firenze at York two days ago, and if building on that is going to be tough to beat.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Red Baron (100/30 Betfred – BOG)
