Return of The Mac – Enzo to top York Hall Bill

Following John Simpson contracting a virus that forced him to pull out of his bout with Lee Selby on next Friday’s Queensberry Promotions bill at York Hall Former WBO Wolrd Cruiserweight champ Enzo Maccarinelli has stepped in to headline the show, making is Light-Heavyweight debut against 31 year old Hungarian Gyorgy Marosi who’s record is 12-0 with 8 KO’s.

Maccarinelli keen to put his defeat to hard hitting German based Ukrainian Alexander Frenkel behind him gets back into the ring after just over a year out. Since the fateful night in Birmingham Enzo has dropped down to Light-Heavy and has his sights set on an all Welsh showdown with WBO champ and stable mate Nathan Cleverly somewhere down the line.

Next Friday’s show marks Francis and George Warren’s Queensberry Promotions 3rd show in 8 weeks and the action packed undercard also features Tony Conquest v Toks Owoh plus Heavyweight Tom Little and new super-middleweight sensation Frankie Buglioni having his second pro fight after his 1st round KO of Sabie Monteith at Wembley Arena last Saturday. Also on the bill is Canning Town Super-Feather Billy Morgan.
