Rose Garnet did us a favour when scoring last time out and looks good value at 9/2 to follow-up in the 4.20 at Wolverhampton today.
The filly was backed in from the advised 15/2 into 3/1 on her debut for Tony Carroll at Kempton last month and landed the gamble in style.
She flew out of the gates and made all, keeping on well for pressure to beat Pharoh Jake with a bit more in hand than the winning margin of 3/4 of a length suggests.
The runner-up has since gone on to score three times to give the form a solid look, and although Rose Garnet now races off 5lb higher she still looks very well-treated off a mark of 52 judged on her old form.
The four-year-old was formerly trained in Ireland by David Marnane where she had some solid efforts to her name including when runner-up on her handicap debut last year off a mark of 57 in a competitive 20 runner affair at Naas.
That run suggests she is still well-in at the weights, and it would be no surprise if her new handler is able to get a bit more improvement out of her.
Ryan Tate, who gave her an excellent ride at Kempton, is also back in the saddle taking off 7lb and although she has a wide draw to overcome the pace she showed last time suggests she should be able to overcome it in a race that lacks any real strength in depth.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Rose Garnet (9/2 bet365 – BOG)
