Sampaquita looks worth a wager 12/1 in the 4.15 on handicap debut at Brighton today.
Gary Moore’s charge has shaped with promise in three runs to get a mark, most notavly last time out when a tenderly handled sixth of 10 to Turnpike Trip over 1m 2f in a class 5 maiden at Windsor.
The three-year-old has been allotted a basement mark of 51 on the back of that looks a potential improver now going down the handicap route.
Stepping up to 1m 4f could well unlock further improvement and she haails from a yard that does particularly well with its runners at the track.
Lord E, who was also trained by Moore and headed the betting, has also been pulled out.
This is also a weak class 6 affair full of exposed types, so Sampaquita looks to have more in her favour than most.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Sampaquita (12/1 Paddy Power – BOG)
