Saskia’s a Dream bet at 8s

Saskia’s Dream has been given a big chnace by the handicapper and looks decent value at 8/1 to take advantage and land the spoils in the 8.55 at Newmarket tonight.

Jane Chapple-Hyam’s mare last scored when landing a 7f contest on the all-weather at Lingfield last October where she only had to be ridden out to comfortably beat Aldermoor by 3/4 of a length off a mark of 68.

She now gets into this contest off 6lb lower, having shaped as if she could be coming back to form when fourth of 8 to Moma Lee on the turf at Lingfield last time out.

The five-year-old chased the leaders on the outside that day before weakening insid ethe last to be beaten 4 lengths, and it was an effort which suggested her winning turn was not far away.

The handicapper has dropped her another 2lb since that run, and she is now running off just 62 – her lowest rating ever.

That makes her look dangerously well-treated on the pick of her form, and with conditions fine a big run looks on the cards.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Saskia’s Dream (8/1 bet365, BetVictor, Hills, Paddy Power, Stan James – BOG)
