Seasearch caught the eye last time out and looks the one to be on in the 3.15 at Southwell today.
Andrew balding’s three-year-old raced wide before keeping on without ever quite being able to land a blow when a 4 length sixth of 12 to Father Aibe in a class 6 contest at Lingfield off a makr of 51.
That was his first try over 1m 4f and one which suggested he had a race of this nature in him.
Seasearch has since been kindly dropped 2lb to a rating of 49 and unlike many of his rivals remains unexposed and open to further improvement after just five starts.
He also hails from a yard in rude health that does well with its runners at the track and receives a handy weight-for-age allowance from all his rivals.
Off bottom weight of 8st 4lb he gets 15lb an upwards from the other six runners and that gives him a huge chance in my book from a handicapping perspective.
This class 7 contest looks a good opening for him to get off the mark.
