Show Palace a 14/1 punt at Haydock

Show Palace has underfoot condtions to suit and a decent record at Haydock, so makes plenty of each-way appeal at 14/1 in the 3.30 there on today.

Trained by Jenny Candlish, this six-year-old has won two of his five starts over course and distance – the last of those coming off a mark of 73.

That win came in 2017 and Show Palace went on to score at Chester off 78 and Ripon off 84 during a highly productive year which saw him bag five successes in total.

He then failed to get his head in front last year but took advanatge fo a drop in the weiughst to get back on the scoresheet at Nottingham in June when scoring by a length off a mark of 69.

Show place ace also won at the same venue two starts later off 74 and shaped as if still in form last time out when third of 11 at Thirsk.

He is able to race in this off an unchanged mark of 76 and that entitles him to be very competitive on the pick of his form.

Graham Lee aso has a 50 per cent strike rate on him having won six times and been placed twice in 12 starts, and Show Palace relishes cut in thr ground – so has more going for him than his odds would suggest.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Show Palace (14/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
