Silenzio looks super at 11s

Silenzio loves testing conditions and having dropped to a winning mark has to be of major interest in the 7.30 Windsor at 11/1.

Richard Hannon’s gelding hasn’t been at his best in two runs this seasson, but they have come on the all-weather and he now switches back to the turf for the first time since lan ding back-to-back victories last September.

The first of those wins came over today’s tripn at Folkestone off a mark of 68 and he then followed up unde a 6lb penalty when beating Rash Judgement in the mud at Goodwood.

He is now running off just a 1lb higher mark (75), and it looks as if connections have got it down with the intention of exploiting it on the turf when the going is in his favour.

That will certainly be the case this evening, and it’s interesting that on the only other occasion he ran on the soft he was a solid runner-up to Kingscroft at Epsom.

The four-year-old clearly relishes give underfoot, and there is little doubt that he now has everything in his favour.

He also has what could be a good draw in stall 15 given that they tend to go over the far side when the going is soft, and with Richard Hughes in the saddle he rates the best bet on the card.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 4pts each-way Silenzio (11/1bet365, Paddy Power – BOG)
