Sir Roderic weighted to go well in Spring Mile

Sir Roderic has become well-treated and looks decent each-way value at 12/1 in the Spring Mile at Doncaster today (2.25)

Rod Millman’s charge enjoyed a terrific 2016 when winning fibve times, with the last of those successes coming at Sandown off a mark of 90.

He went on to finish a solid neck second at Newmarket off 95 after which he got put up to 97.

Sir Roderic largely struggled last season as a result, but did manage to make the frame on two occasions off 93 and 90.

He is now able to race off just 81, 9lb lower than when last victorious.

It gives him major claims from a handicapping perpsective on the pick of his form and he has won first time up in the past and has winning fomr on soft ground.

The stable has also saddled two winner from its last six runners and the booking of Oisin Murphy is another plus.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Sir Roderic (12/1 bet365, BetVictor, Sky Bet – BOG)
