Smuggler’s Stash worth a punt at 8s

Smuggler’s Stash looks worth a punt at 8/1 in the 3.15 at Ayr today now dropped back down in grade on testing conditions that suit.

The gelding was a point winner in Ireland and ran well on chasing debut for trainer Rose Dobbin qhen chasing home the progressive I Just Know in a class 4 contest on soft ground at Hexham.

He then went one better at the saame venue when staying on strongly in the mud to beat Landmeafortune by five lengths in a class 5 affair off a mark orf 95.

Smuggler’s Stachj was out up 8lb for that success and although only fifth of 16 off it last time out at Wetherby he made a bad mistake three from home in what was a class 4 contest run on good-to-soft ground which may have been too lively.

The drop back down to class 5 company and this afternoon’s heavy conditions are sure to suit much better and he is also now reunited with Craig Nichol, who steered him to his last success, having been dropped ilb to 102.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Smuggler’s Stash (8/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
