However he caught the eye last time out when a tenderly handled fifth over 6f at this venue, and has since been dropped another 1lb.
Soaring Spirits is now able to race off a career-low mark of just 68, 7lb lower than when last successful, and that gives him major claims at the weights.
He also has winning form over today’s 7f trip, and runs the track well having won twice and been placed three times in eights starts.
