Soie D’leau looks super at Newmarket

Soie D’leau has posted some solid efforts this season and is strongly fancied at 11/2 to gain a deserved success in the 6.05 at Newmarket today now eased in grade.

Kristin Stubbs’ gelding chased home the now 110-rated Brando on return to action when in receipt of just 2lb, and backed that up with a fins second of 15 to See The Sun in a competitive affair at York.

The four-year-old also ran a blinder last time out in the class 2 Gosforth Park at Newcastle when a keeping on 2 3/4 length fourth of 13 to Orion’s Bow from an unfavourable high draw in stall 14 in a race in which the first three home came from stalls 1,3 and 4.

He is now able to race in this lower grade class 3 affair off an unchanged mark of 88, and that gives him major claims at the weights.

Soie D’leau is also 1-2 under Joe Fanning and is reunited with him for the first time this season.
