Above The Stars looks to have plenty going for her in the finale at Wolverhampton tonight (7.25) and at 9/2 is strongly fancied to land the spoils
Richard Fahey’s filly bounced back to form over course and distance last time out when chasing home Ring For Baileys.
She was know match for the 3 length winner, but kept on well having raced too keenly in the early stages due to a modest pace.
The handicapper has since dropped her a pound to 66, and that means that she is now 1lb lower than when last successful at Pontefract back in August.
That gives her every chance from a handicapping perspective, but more importantly she looks assured to get the strong pace she needs to be seen at her best.
There are plenty of trailblazers in the line-up with the likes of Another Citizen and Parisian Pyramid both liking to force the pace, and there is every chance that those at the head of affairs could cut each others thortas and set it up for a closer.
The daughter of Piccolo certainly fits that bill, and from a good draw in stall 5 Tony Hamilton should be able to drop her in and stalk the leaders before hopefully swooping late.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Above The Stars (9/2 generally available – use BOG firms)
