Sweet Company a tasty punt at Galway

Sweet Company caught the eye last time out and makes plenty of appeal at 8/1 in the 6.50 at Galway today now dropped back in trip and fitted with the cheekpieces for the first time.

Tony Martin’s six-year-old notched his sole success of the level over course and distance at this meeting 12 months ago.

Sweet Company has been lightly-raced since and shaped well here on Monday when seventh of 20 to Whiskey Sour over 2m 1f when keeping on to be beaten 5 3/4 lengths having been given plenty to do.

That was his second start following a break and should have out him spot on for this.

The shorter trip is definitely in his favour and with the new headgear fitted and a promising 7lb claimer in the plate everything looks in place for a big run.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Sweet Company (8/1 Paddy Power – BOG)
