Swoop for the 5/2 about an Eagles victory

Wigan play host to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup today (3pm KO) and the vistors look good value at 5/2 with Betfred and Hills to beat last year’s winners of the competition.

Palace looked long odds-on to get relegated from the Premier League after a dreadful run of results but have looked a differnet side since Tony Pulis took over.

They have climbed out of the relegation zone and now look to have a strong chance of survival, and have become a side which are hard to beat.

They have managed recent away wins at Aston Villa and west Brom, and having conceded 21 goals in their first 12 league games have let in just 10 in their last 10.

The Eagles are also better class than their rivals, sitting 16th in the top flight compared to 11th in the Championship, and all in all the 5/2 on offer looks far too big in my eyes.

Jason Puncheon has rediscovered his form and netted twice in his last four games and looks cracking each-way value at 14/1 with bet365 in the first goalscorer market given that he is as short as 15/2 elsewhere.
