Talkischeap looks decent value at 10/1 in the 1.50 at Newbury today now stepped up in trip on handicap debut.

Alan King’s six-year-old shaped with plenty of pormise in his first three starts over hurdles, inluding when a staying on 2 3/4 length third to Gunfleet – who has won twice since including a handicap last time out off 130 – at Stratford.

The selecion then opend his account at Fontwell over 2m 1f before following up over the same distance at Warwick when staying on powerfully to beat Blairs Cove by three lengths.

Talkischeap was aslo then far from disgracde last time out over 2m 5f at Doncaster when fourth to a subsequent Grade 2 winner.

He has been alootted an opening makr of 133 on the back of those efforts, and although that is no gimme he does look the type that will have more to offer now going handicapping and stepped up to 3m.

Talkischeap is unbeaten over the distance having won all three of his starts in Irish point over it, and at 10/1 I think he looks a bit overpriced for a yard back amongst the winners of late.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Talkischeap (10/1 bet365 – BOG, 1/4 odds 1,2,3)
