Ten can put his Lingfield rivals in a spin

Tenspinhits was a real eye-catcher last time out and is of serious interest at 6/1 in the seller at Lingfield today (3.20).

The gelding was a winner between the flags, and has hinted that he has enough ability to win a race of this nature in two starts over hurdles for Bernard Llewellyn.

He showed up well for a long way before weakening after a lengthy lay-off behind Advisor at Hereford, and duly improved a bundle for the run when returned to the same venue last time out and finishing fourth of 13 to Castle Conflict.

Held up that day, he made good headway after the fourth flight to chase the leaders but was then unable to find a change of gear and stayed on at the one pace to be beaten 12 1/2 lengths.

The winner is a fair sort who is now rated 123, and the selection will certainly find today’s opposition far more to his liking.

Indeed, he could be very well treated off his current mark of 98 if building on that effort and would not have to improve much to take this.

The eight-year-old is also still relatively unexposed and lightly raced, and in my opinion is entitled to be favourite for this.

That makes the 6/1 on offer looks cracking value, and at those odds he simply has to be backed.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Tenspinhits (6/1 bet365 – BOG)
