Euroquip Boy the bet at 10s
Euroquip Boys returns to the scene of his last success in the 5.00 at Chepstow and looks cracking value at 10/1.
Michael Scudamore has his team in good form, and Euroquip Boy is only 5lb higher than when landing a 6f contest here on good-to-soft ground three starts ago.
He battled on really well that day to dea-heat for first, and clearly likes the Welsh track as he had previously finished a close up third on his only other start at the venue.
The gelding has not been disgraced on his last two starts on the all-weather surface at Wolverhampton, but I am confident that the return to the turf will see him in far better light.
His ability to handle today’s soft going and stay 7f has to be taken on trust, but there was cut in the ground when he scored here in June and he was certainly not stopping at the business end of affairs that day.
I think that we have still not seen the best of him, and at 10/1 he has to be worth an each-way interest in a race where despite the large field a line can be drawn through the vast majority of the runners.

Poach a bit of 33/1 about Transeggselence
Transeggselence has one bit of form which makes him worth an each-way punt at 33/1 in the last at Chepstow (5.35).
The son of Trans island put up a cracking effort on his juvenile debut at Newmarket when trained by Pat Leech, staying on in pleasing style to finish fourth of 12 to Call To Reason.
It’s true to say that he has been a major disappointment since and failed to build on that effort in three subsequent starts.
However his best run did come on soft ground, and if his new handler Gary Harrison can find the key to get him back on track he would have an each-way shout in this off his current mark of 50.
Conditions today will clearly be no problem for him, and 3 out of 7 runners saddled by Harrison at Chepstow have managed to make the frame.
There is no doubt that he is a risky betting proposition, but in a weak contest 33/1 about him makes it a risk worth taking.
